Making healthy food choices for your children will have many positive effects on their overall well-being. This not only improves their health and lifestyle but also allows them to show better behavior and score higher on their school work. 

Children become more physical, aggressive, and highly active when they are not consuming the proper nutrients throughout the day. Foods that are high in protein and complex carbohydrates will boost their energy and keep them active and alert. Some examples of good sources and complex carbohydrates are whole grain bread, oatmeal, cereal, or even pasta. 

Some good protein sources are milk, eggs, cheese, and nuts. Consuming these types of foods will give children a good smooth and stable source of energy and will allow them to remain alert and active for longer. 

Although many children enjoy eating candy, chocolate, and ice cream, many of these foods are full of empty calories and sugar, which can have a particularly negative effect on children's behavior. 

When the child consumes sugar for the first time, they experience an immediate burst of energy and may act hyperactive. Although dietary changes may not fix all behavior issues all the time, they are worth a look. 

Anyone consuming a regular diet that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and small amounts of healthy fats is likely to be much happier and content.
